dymensha

The story to date

The band dymensha is an amalgam of experienced musicians and vocalists from bands that have graced the Inverclyde music scene from the mid '60s to the present day.

The band was formed - basically as a practise band - in early 2005 and played their first official local gig in Darroch's McGregor Lounge, Gourock on 23rd Dec. 05. They have been earning rave revues locally and further afield ever since from enthusiastic audiences for their versions of rock classics from the Who, Bad Company, the Beatles, The Stones, David Bowie, Deep Purple and ELO to mention just a few.

Although not exactly in their first flush of youth ( as perhaps the name suggests? ), these guys have been around and can still rock with the best. If you remember bands like Spunge, Dinky, Jaspa, Page 5, Hyde Park, Maris Hog, Summerset, Bubbles, to name but a few, then you get an idea of the experience and quality dymensha have at their fingertips.

Lead Vocalist Fred Beattie is supported musically and vocally by George Canata on Lead Guitar, Alan Castles on Bass, Charlie Campbell on Keyboards and Jim Gemmell on Drums. You can read a little more about the guys further on as they each give a little profile on their careers to date. In Alan's case not so little !!

So if you're guy or gal, young or old, mod or rocker - and you like your music loud yet smooth, with a touch of nostalgia, then get along and listen to dymensha. I promise you won't be disappointed!
